Terms of Service

By using designheat.net or engaging Design Heating, LLC ("Design Heating", "we", "us") for services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of the Site

This website is provided for informational purposes. We make every effort to keep content accurate, but specifications, prices, and availability may change without notice. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding offer or contract.

2. Estimates & Proposals

Estimates and system designs we provide are based on the information available at the time. A final binding price is established in writing in a signed proposal or contract. Verbal quotes are not binding. Designs and engineering calculations remain the intellectual property of Design Heating until paid in full.

3. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion. Accepted methods are cash, check, credit card, and approved financing. Past-due balances may incur reasonable late fees and collection costs.

4. Warranty

Workmanship is warranted for one (1) year from the date of installation, in addition to the manufacturer's warranty on equipment. The warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect, abuse, lack of regular maintenance, freeze damage, power surges, or modifications by anyone other than Design Heating. Filter changes and routine maintenance are the homeowner's responsibility.

5. Cancellations & Changes

Scheduled installations may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 48 hours' notice. Special-order equipment that has been delivered may be non-refundable.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Minnesota law, our liability is limited to the price paid for the specific work giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.

7. Service Area

We provide service to Duluth, MN and the surrounding region (typically within 30 miles, including Superior, WI). Projects outside this area are accepted at our discretion and may include mileage charges.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in St. Louis County, Minnesota.
